UNIBIS

Face imaging through a camera jointly with the person fingerprint recording can represent a strong deterrent. Two different elements of the security chain (camera and biometrics) cleverly integrate to grant the user an optimum anti-robbery device.

UNIBIS is the system which takes a shot of the face and records fingerprints of a person while crossing a security booth. Pictures are recorded, encrypted and stored on magnetic supports. For "privacy" reasons they can be checked by Authorized Entities only on the occasion of a crime, and useful frames can be selected through a password and printed or exported.

Face pictures and fingerprints are automatically erased after 7 days from their recording date.

Up to 8 cameras can be connected to UNIBIS for free, not encrypted recordings.

The system is composed by:

Biometric face recognition

UNIMAGO verifies the face of the person transiting through a booth by automatically locating, transforming into a template and recording his face. The system is available in two different configurations: verification and deterrence.

In the verification mode only users previously enrolled and bearing a valid authorisation option, are unambiguously verified and allowed entering. Before entering the booth the pre-enrolled user must digit a PIN on a keyboard.

In the deterrence mode UNIMAGO DET gives access, without any previous enrolling procedure, to those attempting to enter the booth, but only if correctly presenting their face to a camera in order to be properly recorded, with no partial or full details hiding.

UNIMAGO DET is a very peculiar device and significantly differs from a traditional videorecording system due to the introduction of a sophisticated algorithm of face analysis. Data recording procedure is of the FI-FO (First In-First Out) type. With no evidence of a special event within 7 days data are automatically erased from the memory.
